Data we collect

Information you provide

• Your mobile number, verified with a one-time password (OTP) and used for sign-in and account access.
• Your first and last name.
• Your full address, which we ask for to verify that you live in the neighbourhood you join.
• Contact details, such as a name and phone number, when you choose to suggest a contact.
• Asks, suggestions, notes, Thanks, reviews and reports you choose to submit.
• Play activities you create or join (see Play below).
• When you request a new neighbourhood: the neighbourhood name, a nearby landmark or locality, and an optional note.

Neighbourhood and location information

• The neighbourhood you join, and whether your request to join is approved.
• A one-time location reading you allow when choosing or joining a neighbourhood, or when requesting a new one, used to verify your neighbourhood (see Location below).
• Neighbourhood details such as pincode, city and state. These belong to the neighbourhood's own record and are associated with you through the neighbourhood you join; you are not asked to enter them. For a new neighbourhood request, they are worked out from the location reading.

Information created as you use Padosii

• Saved contacts, recent interactions and related in-app activity.
• Notification delivery identifiers, such as a device or push token.
• App activity events, recorded by Padosii itself, used for reliability, moderation, abuse prevention and product improvement.

Permissions and device data

Contacts

Contacts access is used only when you choose a contact while suggesting someone. Padosii does not upload your full address book.

Location

When you choose or join a neighbourhood, the app takes a one-time location reading with your permission. We store the coordinates and their accuracy with your join request to show and verify neighbourhoods near you. When you request a new neighbourhood, we store the location reading and the details you enter with that request.

In Play, you can choose your current location as the place for an activity. Padosii does not track where you go and does not require continuous background location for normal app use.

Notifications

Notifications are used for account updates, suggestion updates, Asks and responses, Thanks, neighbourhood updates and Play activity updates, such as new activities nearby, a player joining your activity, reminders and cancellations.

Play

If you use Play, we store the activities you create or join: the sport, start time, venue, number of players needed, your optional message, who can see the activity, and who joined or left.

• A venue is chosen with Google Maps and Places search, a pin on the map, or your current location. We store the venue's name, address and map location.
• An activity is shown to residents of the host's neighbourhood and, if the host chooses, nearby neighbourhoods. They can see the sport, time, venue name, address and map location, the host's name and message, and the names and neighbourhoods of players who joined.
• Your mobile number is not shown in Play. A host can allow joined players to contact them, and a player can choose to share their number with the host. Both are off unless you turn them on. Padosii provides the number only until the activity starts or is cancelled. Once someone has called or messaged you, Padosii cannot take that back.
• A shared activity link opens the app. The website page for a link shows no activity details.

How we use data

• Sign you in with OTP and keep your account secure.
• Verify the neighbourhood you join.
• Show neighbourhood-relevant contacts, categories, suggestions and Play activities.
• Deliver Asks to your neighbourhood and, where the app does so, to residents of nearby neighbourhoods.
• Enable suggestion, Thanks, review, reporting, calling, sharing, saving and recent-interaction flows.
• Support admin review and approval of accounts, neighbourhood requests, suggestions, contact details, reports and categories.
• Deliver notifications and keep delivery reliable.
• Detect misuse, support moderation and improve the app.

How data may be shared

Padosii shares data within product workflows where needed. For example, checked suggestions, contact details and reviews are shown to residents of the relevant neighbourhood, your name is shown with Asks, suggestions and Play activities, and Play activity details are shown to the residents who can see the activity. Your full address is visible to you and to Padosii administrators, not to other residents.

Data may also be processed by service providers that help run Padosii, including:

• hosting providers, including DigitalOcean, for Padosii's servers and database;
• an SMS provider that delivers sign-in codes to your mobile number;
• Google Maps and Places, used in the app when you choose a Play venue;
• Firebase (Google), which delivers notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging (and Apple Push Notification service on iPhone) and provides app configuration through Firebase Remote Config.

This website

The padosii.com website does not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Admin review and approval

Admins may review accounts, neighbourhood requests, suggestions, contact details, reviews, reports and categories as part of moderation and approval.

Security

We apply reasonable safeguards to protect data. No system is completely secure, but we continue to improve safeguards against unauthorised access and misuse.

Data retention

Data is retained for operational needs, moderation, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and audit requirements.

Account deletion

You can request deletion by emailing hi@padosii.com. We may verify account ownership before processing. The account deletion page explains what is deleted. Certain records may be retained where required by law, security, fraud prevention, dispute handling or audit obligations.
